Personal property tax bills are mailed twice a year. Each mailing contains two coupons because the tax payments are due quarterly.
The first bill is mailed by June 30th and contains the first and second quarter payment coupons. The first quarter coupon is payable by August 1st and the second quarter coupon is payable by November 1st. This bill is referred to as the preliminary tax bill
The second bill is mailed by December 31st and contains the third and fourth quarter coupons. The third quarter coupon is due by February 1st and the fourth quarter coupon is due by May 1st. This bill is referred to as the actual tax bill and contains the assessed value of your property and the tax rate established for the fiscal year.
Payments may be made several ways:
- Credit cards are accepted at our counter inside Town Hall or online (convenience fees apply).
- Cash and checks are accepted at the counter, at the drive-through around the back of the building, or at the drop-box in front of the building. If using the drop-box, please include your payment and stub within an envelope to ensure proper posting.
