With the support and direction of 83% of our town's voters, the Abington School Building Committee has been diligently working over the past few months with the town's professional design team (Ai3 Architects, Pare Engineering, and Project Manager Mary Mahoney of KBA), in conjunction with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), to move forward with the design and construction of Abington's first new school building in over half a century! We have made significant progress with the site plans and building floor plans, and are striving to keep to our targeted design, bidding and construction schedules. Updated information and plans are now being added to our webpage at www.ASBC.us; please take a look!
If you cannot attend our ASBC meetings, please know that our meetings are videotaped for later playback on local cable TV. You can also view our meetings on YouTube.
Why you haven't heard from us recently . . .
Several weeks ago, the Town of Abington shut down its website (including our School Building Committee webpage) in order to replace it with an updated and improved website. Unfortunately, we were unable to access our webpage or upload any new information during this time, so we apologize for our inability to send you emails or post new information... but that problem has now been cured and we are now adding updated plans and information to the ASBC website! There are still a few kinks to be worked out, but we are confident that the website and our webpage will be running at full speed in the very near future. Thank you for your continued patience, and thank you for your continued support and interest in Abington's new middle/high school project.
