The building of Abington's new DPW and Fire Station is well underway on Central Street. The new facilities will provide a significantly safer work environment for our dedicated Fire Department and DPW employees, and will provide much-needed garage and building space to protect millions of dollars worth of our town's equipment and emergency vehicles for decades to come.
The $38.5 Million municipal construction project was approved by residents at a Special Town Meeting on October 14, 2023 and at a subsequent ballot vote on October 21, 2023.
