Traffic Signal Mast Arm Installation on Route 123 at Groveland Street

  

Friday, March 20, and Monday, March 23, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

   

ABINGTON - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be performing a traffic signal mast installation at the intersection of Route 123 and Groveland Street in Abington. The work is scheduled to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, and Monday, March 23. Work is anticipated to be completed by Monday afternoon, March 23. 

 

Lane closures on Route 123 will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups. 

 

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.     

 

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
