Pursuant to Section 7-11 of the Abington Charter, the Board of Selectmen calls the attention of all residents and others to the foilowing vacancy exists.

Position: (1) position on the Board of Health

Term: approximately for (9) months until the 2027 annual Town Election

The responsibilities of the Health Department are to ensure the health and wellbeing

of the public through the process of inspection, investigation, education, and

enforcement.

Board of Health Mission Statement: Our mission is to protect, preserve and

promote the health and wellbeing of all Abington residents. Our mission is met

through the enforcement of health codes and regulations while promoting a

healthy community.

Any person who desires to be considered for appointment to the position may,

within ten days following the date the notice is posted, file with the Board of

Selectmen a statement which sets forth in clear and specific terms the qualifications which he/she holds for the position.

22, 2026. The Board of Health and the Select Board will hold a joint meeting

28, 2026 at 6:00PM in the Select Board/Cotter Meeting Room.
