Abington Police Department Executes Search Warrant, Arrests Four Following Month-Long Drug Investigation

ABINGTON, Mass. — July 15, 2026 — The Abington Police Department, in partnership with the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department, executed a search warrant and arrest operation at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at a residence located at 230 Railroad Street following a month-long drug investigation.

As a result of the investigation, four individuals were arrested and charged.

Harry Conover, 48, of Abington, was charged with:

- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Controlled Substance

- Trafficking a Class B Controlled Substance

- Obtaining Drugs by Fraud

- Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, to wit: Obtaining Controlled Substances by Fraud

- Identity Fraud

Merina O'Connell, 41, of Marshfield, was charged with:

- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Controlled Substance

- Trafficking a Class B Controlled Substance

- Obtaining Drugs by Fraud

- Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, to wit: Obtaining Controlled Substances by Fraud

Ibrahim Khnaizir, 56, of Brockton, was charged with:

- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Controlled Substance

- Trafficking a Class B Controlled Substance

- Obtaining Drugs by Fraud

- Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, to wit: Obtaining Controlled Substances by Fraud

-Identity Fraud

Keith Reid, 54, of Abington, was charged with:

- Possession of a Class B Controlled Substance

The search warrant was executed without incident with the assistance of the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department.

The Abington Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Abington Fire Department for its assistance during the operation. The department also thanks the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department for its continued partnership and support throughout the investigation.

The Abington Police Department also wishes to recognize the outstanding investigative work of APD Lieutenant Justin Simmons and Detective Sean Flannery, whose professionalism, diligence, and commitment were instrumental in the successful completion of this month-long investigation.

The Abington Police Department remains committed to investigating illegal narcotics activity and working collaboratively with its law enforcement partners to protect the safety and well-being of the community.

The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
