The Abington Board of Health's mission is to protect, preserve and promote the health and well-being of all Abington residents.

This mission is met through the monitoring, regulating, educating and enforcement of health codes and regulations while promoting a healthy community. 

Environmental and Public health officials conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental and public health regulations, assess food safety standards, manage hazardous waste disposal, and respond to environmental and health emergencies such as outbreaks of infectious diseases or environmental contamination incidents.
