Textiles don't belong in your curbside trash. If you have clothes, linens or shoes that are not worthy of donation please recycle them at our textile bins located between the Library and Town Hall.

Early Voting is open TODAY, Saturday, October 25 at Abington Town Hall. Early voting polls are open on Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Early and mail-in voting is off to a great start! As of 10/21, Abington had 349 residents cast their early ballots in person and 1,482 voters return them by mail! Tomorrow, October 26 is the last Saturday for early voting in Abington! Early Voting Polls are open at Town Hall on 10/26 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

October is National Fire Safety Month! Abington's impressive Fire Department prioritizes fire safety all year long with instruction to our town's children and Senior Citizens. Our 28 person department can be found around town teaching residents about fire safety at community events like Touch-A-Trucks, Senior Center Luncheons and in our classrooms.

Abington's DPW Highway division maintains our 225 roadways. 📣 Calling Interested Volunteers The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) has three open seats on its committee and is actively seeking applications to fill the vacancies! Apply online at https://bit.ly/Abingtonappointmentform or in person at the Town Manager's Office. ❓What does the Community Preservation Committee do? The Community Preservation Committee is responsible for making recommendations on how CPA funds (a local property tax surcharge) should be spent. CPA Funds support open space protection, outdoor recreation, historic preservation, and affordable housing. ❓What are the qualifications to be on the committee? Applicants should be passionate and enthusiastic about investing Abington's CPC funds into open space, recreation, historic preservation, and affordable housing. That's it! Our form of town government RELIES on volunteers. ⏰ What is the time commitment for the CPC? CPC meets typically meetings twice a month on Tuesdays at 6PM. Their upcoming 2024 schedule is currently scheduled as 10/15, 10/29, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17.
