Excise Tax Due April 11
When you lease a vehicle, the leasing company is the technical owner (for excise purposes). When you buy out the lease, you WILL get a bill in just your name (for the date of registration until the end of the calendar year), which you must pay. The leasing company needs to file an abatement on the first bill; we refund them, and they refund you. For questions, contact the Assessor's office at 781-982-2107.

Did you get an excise bill, but your car is gone? The Assessors Office will always need two items to process an abatement… We need evidence of what happened to the plates and evidence of what happened to the vehicle! Check out our application: https://5il.co/2ch9y to see what kind of documentation we need, based on what happened to the vehicle.

Abington's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 17th at 1PM. 🍀Starting at 11AM try to avoid the area from 7/11 to St. Patrick's Square (Abington Center where Santander Bank and Bailey's Garage are located) and the surrounding side streets. They are used for staging the parade. 🍀Around 12:15PM Washington Street (starting at Bedford Street Route 18) will close. As the parade starts and continues north on Washington the surrounding roads will be restricted. 🍀Stay clear of railroad tracks. 🍀Be mindful of the parade vehicles and give them plenty of space. 🍀Abide by no parking signs. 🍀Enjoy this Abington tradition Thank you to the St. Patrick's Day Parade committee and all of its volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
