🔥Open burning season runs from January 15 - May 1. A valid permit must be obtained by the Abington Fire Department. Residents can apply for a permit online through Community Connect and review the burning permit policy on the same site.

· Fungus-infected elm wood, if no other acceptable means of disposal is available
You may not burn:

Due to an EMERGENCY water main repair needed on VERNON STREET in Abington. The water main will have to be shut down. Portions of Vernon Street will be without water during this time. Residents in this area may also experience discolored water.
Crews are mobilizing and will work diligently to keep the shutdown as short as possible. Please utilize the water fill station at the Water Dept on Centre Ave if needed.
