The Assessing Department visits properties and businesses throughout the entire year, but the spring & summer are our busiest times! We visit properties for different reasons: a building permit was pulled recently, the property was recently sold, or by a random selection of properties we haven't seen in a while. We also visit businesses in town to assess their Personal Property. If you have questions, please give us a call: 781-982-2107!

When you lease a vehicle, the leasing company is the technical owner (for excise purposes).
When you buy out the lease, you WILL get a bill in just your name (for the date of registration until the end of the calendar year), which you must pay.
The leasing company needs to file an abatement on the first bill; we refund them, and they refund you. For questions, contact the Assessor's office at 781-982-2107.
